Jeff DeNike
Title: IT Technician
Start Date: 6/1/2023
Jeff, if you could switch your job with anyone in PC Quest, whose job would you want?
If I could switch my job with anyone at PC Quest, it would be to work in sales. I love meeting people and would enjoy providing the best IT solutions for our new and old customers. I have a long way to go though as I am still just learning about the wide variety of services and products that we provide at PC Quest.
Jeff, what is on your wish list for the next 10 years with PC Quest?
My wish list for the next 10 years is to become a Senior Technician with the knowledge and ability to provide an entire end-to-end solution for a customer from cabling to workstations to server and firewall installations. I am excited to be challenged and driven to learn more and become certified in PC Quest’s SonicWall Firewalls, Engenius Switches and Access Points, and the many other high-level certifications achieved by others here.
Jeff, before working at PC Quest, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
The most interesting job I have ever had would be as a charter boat fisherman in Michigan. I worked from March through September and from 5 am until 10 pm 7 days/week. We took out 2 groups of customers daily and up to 6 people per trip. From March through August, we caught Walley in Lake Erie and then moved up to Lake Michigan to catch Chinook Salmon, Lake Trout, and Steelhead. In mid-October, we would come back to Lake Erie for the Perch fishing. Best job ever! Great people, great jokes, and we always caught our limit.
Jeff, do you have any kids? If so, tell me about them.
I have three children: Hannah, Tyler, and Nick. Hannah is a singer in Nashville and is trying to find her place in fame. She currently has shows at Kid Rock’s bar and several others in Nashville. Tyler is in the Army, he currently works as a cook at Fort Hood in Texas. Tyler is looking forward to coming to Indiana when his term is complete. Nick is our youngest and is still looking for direction on what he wants to do for a career. They are all spectacular children and great human beings, and I am so proud of them all.
Jeff, are you married? If so, tell me about your spouse.
My wife, Rebecca, is the one to give thanks to as she has been the driving force for us all she keeps us in line, supports all of our decisions, and she is always there when you have a bad day. I am proud and thankful for my family.
